Dis-Illusions
By Moodswing
Tired of wandering through your
jaded world...
swimming in your luke warm love
Fighting tides of
pseudo joy...
laying in a stagnant bed
Our hypocritical embrace
chafing my skin...
an itchy reminder of mediocre lovemaking
Joyously falling out
of love...
landing in the driver's seat
Racing into the
seductively unknown...
knowingly, eagerly seduced
Tearing pictures from my
album's past...
Burning them in the rays of the fading sun
Another parcel signed and sealed,
A new post now begun....

the way you stated it as 'luke warm love' just captured me. This was to the point and didn't stray from topic. Great job.

Mmm...I like new beginnings. There is a time and place where you have to put the bad behind and start a new life free of the burdens that came before.
