Hesitation

By Jaded Jezzabelle

I've gone through life believing with karma
the past can be undone...
So I went ahead and staged some drama
but whats the point when its not even fun anymore...

The tension between us feels like a door
thats always locked...

Like a gun always cocked and ready to unload
at the slightest confrontation...

Close to the edge Im ready to explode
on the people I care for the most...

Those who see behind my disguise to the
woman who really dwells here behind my eyes...

I just want us to be how we used to be
when you were never in such a hurry to get up and leave...

Back when you wanted to hear what I had to say
and after everyone left you would stay
and kick it...

I miss those times we spent just hanging out
when you'd make me laugh when I started to pout
you know when I still had some clout with you...

I wish we could return to that place
when you would watch me as I made up my face
telling me you like my lips and
making me feel pretty...

I need us to be like we used to be
when you had no hesitation being close to me...

When you did'nt misread my infatuation with you
as an invatation for more...

Can't we please go back to before
before I gave in to your persistence and
the air between us became filled with
such indifference....
