Lost Little Girl

By xX pretty vacant Xx

daddy, i said my first word today
and i smiled today
felt so safe today
daddy, i said my first word today
and i love you oh-so-much

daddy, i went to the park today
had so much fun today
the world's that kinda place today
daddy, i went to the park today
and i love you lots and lots

daddy, i kissed a boy today
was so nervous today
i'm so grown up today
daddy, i kissed a boy today
but i'm still your little girl

daddy, i got detention today
i guess i messed up today
i got so angry today
daddy, i got detention today
and i kinda love you too

daddy, i cut my wrist today
it's all so empty today
i just don't care today
daddy, i cut my wrist today
and i'd love you if i could feel

daddy, i think i died today
i saw you cry today
and i miss you today
daddy, i think i died today
still just your lost little girl

makes me want to wake up my own daughter and give her a few moments of hugs....

I absolutely love this. I love my dad to death, but this poem makes me sort of see how much I really put him through. This is good. -Heart

  • A former member wrote: hmm... sad; very well written.. just because people have kids doesn't mean they're parents, or good ones at that. i may have pulled something a little different from this, but what i got was a girl looking for her father's love, and she got it a bit late
