hurry January

By cre

I lay in dreams
Covered by the drifting
Of dry October leaves
I sing to the stars on brittle nights
Or is it that I cry
Far, so far beyond
Yet still I hear you sigh
The anthem of every backwoods evening
Playing violin to your encore tears
While this city burning bright
Plays spotlight to my dance of fear

hurry January
Lay to stone this sea
This weakness that I weep
hurry January
I am still awake
And I'd die to fall to sleep

I lay within your words
And faded morning mist
I still burn, beyond your purchased kiss
Your painted scape
Drips into my view
The highway miles flash by, yet
I am still so close to you
I would play this tragedy
From a balcony of your hate
Yet beyond the curtain falling
You still dance at center stage

hurry January
Freeze this pain
As you do the falling rain
hurry January
I can't go on much longer
I cannot breathe awake

- - -

hurry January
In slumber leave me free
Settle me in bitter peace
I still breathe
hurry January
for I would die to sleep.

you captured all that is sad. you have en-capsulated a rare feeling, at least in the way you portray "it", your words are framed to your style, like silk stockings....beautiful...you always get me....urban

Just when I think you're the best...you put out something like this...and I realize, you're far better than the best.

Your words are cold lace here. Grace dancing on a snow flakes crystal. So cold and silent...waiting for that storm of nothing that will bring something. ~bites lip~ I don't know what to say. It sounds repetitive to say....oh I love this....but "Oh I love
