Know Demons Again

By Sudos

Can't find that center within
Fighting those demons again.
Beaten and battered,
So hopeless, not making a dent.
Writing - my blood for the pen,

Ever to after,
No coping, and I can't pretend.
Darkness becoming my friend,

Leaving the matter,
So broken, but I'm on the mend.
Voices - still listening in,

Poisonous laughter.
No joking, now that I've been,
Down to the bottom again;

Study the pattern.
We take and scatter to wind,
With all that we ever meant.

It doesn't matter.
No fold will perfectly bend,
Start a new chapter - attempt,

Senses are lacking.
So close, but over again,
Mentally shattered, we have been,

Mad as hatters.
Mad as a hatter.

Mad I can't have her.
Mad I don't matter.
Maddening slip on the ladder.

Show me the reason.
Show me the feeling.
Show me reality.

Isn't just dealing.
Two eyes, appealing,
To eyes, so chilling,

Speak demon again.
Demons again.
Letting them in,
Letting them win,
Letting go, never been,
So whole yet broken,
Seek demons - be them.
Know Demons Again.

I went to a deep place in the mind for several hours on this one. I rarely get the word epic and yes it has some epic feels attached. Thanks and your kindness is valued.

Love this piece! There is brokenness, and darkness, but such a sense of hope and renewal as well. Broken, but on the mend.

I love it. This is very elaborate and skilful with a beautiful form as well. And, most importantly, it speaks to me on a very deep level. Also, reading only the red lines is amazing as well! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read this precious work, my friend! Keep on writing!

This is one of my favorite comments I've ever received and truly, thank you, friend. I love it when people get into the sort of different patterns I find entertaining myself, like only reading red. I once read all white then red ;) And as to the work itself, it took a lot out of me, I feel. Thanks again, Samael.
