The Bucket

By Elizabeth kaczocha

Another day, another beer, another bucket of broken promises.
Your words either cut me to the bone, or no longer have meaning.
Your I love you and I'm sorry mean nothing. The are just empty words. More empty pomises for the already full bucket of broken promises. Your I would never hurt yous falls into the over flowing bucket. Each day i empty the bucket just to watch you fill it up again. How i pray each night that the bucket will remain empty. But thats a silly hope after all this time. When will the day come that my bucket remains empty?
