Still the Same

By Bittersweetbedbyes

My earliest secrets revealed to aid in your coping
with my own mistakes made by a fool of antiquity.
His soft sounding whispers blare in my ear sporadically;
never quieted for an extended amount of thought.
You utter three syllables that have no business being directed to me, but I recieve them all the same.
I want to give my best effort for you, but I'm tempted to damage our relationship, all the same. Did I know better or didn't I? It's all the same. The same consquences occur when I run the simulations through my mind a million times over a minute through the days that trudge along, like a hampster on a wheel too big for it to ever see a full rotation. Still, to this day, I can't picture you having wanted me to stop. The way your hands roamed for mine didn't come across as violent nor passive. Passionate and fierce in a way only a lover would have done. You claim otherwise but I know I'm not insane nor imaginative enough to give myself that kind of hope. We wanted what was happening to last. Our circumstances are complicated and our lives may never intertwine again the way we once did. But the memories will always be there. The fading feelings will never fully fade. The lingering touch will never stop raoming, nor the taste of you ever be fully washed away. To me, it's all still the same.

    Good stuff. I enjoyed this because of it's conveyance of dis-functional relationships. Thank you for sharing. :)
