Fickle is the heart

Blown frequently by emotions
Stolen repeatedly by man

Broken oft-times by betrayal and disappointment
Dangerous when given to obsession

Easily corrupted by greed, and blackened by jealousy

But still, it remains to be
Man’s greatest weakness and fickle strength

You captured this concept really well with an interesting take on it. The mind can also be put to good use but only by those strong enough to have their shields up. Time has certainly proved you correct regarding the average human, however. Very nice job, leaves the reader a lot of room for food for thought. Think I'll ponder this one awhile. Write on! :)

*grins and bows deeply* Thank you very much for the thoughtful feedback. I do concur with your estimation. I'm glad I could provide you with something to ponder. I will continue writing, and I do hope you'll stick around for more pieces once I've gotten back around to publishing more on DP.
