sky person

.
mortal bliss wanes from clock to shadow
you unfold between the second hand
and my heart beats in time to its movement
remembering my fierce that hid in secrets
while your star exploded much brighter
your bold blocked out the sun as i withered
minutes keep moving with your silhouette
the atmosphere pulls apart in fits and pelts
my mind abseils to the safety of apathy
i used to think you were a super hero
watching in wonderment, open mouthed
.my awe of you still lingers in my blind spot

It can also apply to various aspects of projection, imagine that star really isn't a sun and hot or that mountain off in the distance really isn't real. disappointments dress up in so many different costumes

Thank you Dan. I found my happiness in being single for 12 years, maybe more and finding I do not need what perception can make one believe one does. A lot of my poems are written from reflection of my past. :)
