I want to smoke some weed
Chill out with my blade and bleed
Drain the thoughts from my mind
Take the pills and leave life behind
Burrow into my 6-foot-deep shell
Close the door and pretend everything is well
Silence of the eternity my only relief
If only you could see this was my path to peace
Harmony is an evolution of parabolic thought
Rendered in the blood of feelings—fought
Scurry down the drain of the inane, thoughtless, and profane
Giggle as the torrential drumbeat of too many choices at our feet
I chose so I’d never have to choose again
A thought to end all thoughts
A choice finally made
I take one last glance at life as I penetrate my existance with this blade.

Such power in these words. I think we've all longed for that silence at some point.

I think life drugs us all at different points, and the drugs are always compelling and destructive no matter what form they take. All we can hope for in the end is a recovery from all the pain within. Until we need it to write and feel again...naturally. But listen to me ramble. Thanks for sharing this. It needed to breathe.

My drug of choice was meth and let me tell you that caused so much pain for me and my loved ones. At first I was angry with them for not seeing the pain I was in but recovery has a way of changing the addict's mind.

Still processing which means it was good. We like to think on a thing. Thanks

A definite victim of the holiday blahs, I'd guess my friend Sol. We are all too ready to beat up on ourselves, when a ready world awaits to mete out a smorgasbord of tortures. Cheers! - Dan
