...Realms of the Whisper

I find myself lost within realms
Drifting within whispers of thoughts
Smiling at the memories they have brought
Dancing within these dreams
Knowing my soul is at peace with what I am seeing
In the corner I glance a door
Places I dare not be anymore
Heart skipping a beat as I fear being weak
Opening a door to the sins of a past
Terror of wounds I once lived in
smile as I casually move beyond
My heartbeat returning to a soothing song
Those memories are to be no more
Locked forever behind a thrice bolted door
My eyes open even as I dream
Glancing to the stars above as they so elegantly, sing
Moonlight blanketing my soul with the gentle warmth of your glow
I look to your eyes and these are the phenomena I see
You are the dream in which I want to…Be

You two get the damn band together! Let’s do it! Now, seriously...this hurt to read. It hurts more because I know this feeling, and I hate that anyone else feels the same.

Let me guess you have a bunch of black light glowing stars on your ceiling? I jest, lol. Loved the tying of the void being gone with the love of another at the end. Smooth ending man.

We all experience this type of jealousy, some of us hide it more than others. Here's a toast to your bravery and expression.

Thank you for the comment, though the poem is not about jealousy-- At least not to me. Everyone has their own interpretation and message they experience in reading a work, though, and that is one of the things art is about--individual interpretation.
