Is there any way to get his weight off my shoulders?
Weight of a thousand jagged boulders
Crushing my soul
The huge toll
I’ve exposed upon this world my cruel necessity to be
My masters told me these are not evil deeds
Why does my conscious reel at the sight of my sins?
In this world I don’t belong in
I felt love once-- or so I thought I did
Not knowing in the darkness sharing the stars
My demons hid
Waiting for the pain of loss to blow off this lid
Unbridled rage
My masters caged and conformed
Into this wretched being they sang
Praises of retribution in those I’ve slain
Look to me on the street and you’ll think I am meek
Never knowing the secrets I keep
Boiling just below
My rage –Grows
Lethality of one who knows no love
My smile a sinister reflection of dark introspection
Feel the jagged boulders pierce my skin
Fuel the evil within
I look to my masters in wicked defiance
Slay the makers of this flawed alliance
In their whimpering cries
I whisper- There are no more lies
Fueled by the animosity of a world-- bigoted
I burn through this planet whole while you watch—Riveted
Look to your stars as they plunge from the sky
Burning this atmosphere in sulfuric cries
I taste the sweetness as the universe kisses us…Goodbye

An author's note par excellence my friend; as is your habit. The blackest hole awaits us all, in the multiverse of our maddening meanderings. Cheers and so good to read you again! - Dan
