Wasted Feelings

By totallyalone

You only want me when you want to get laid,
But you do not seem to care about feelings you may have made.
All I am to you is a drunken booty call,
Which means that you're only helping me fall,
Fall down to a pit where I can't get out,
A pit where all that exists is self-doubt.
You respond when it is convenient for you,
But your messages always seem out of the blue,
Until I realize that all I am and could ever be,
Is your backup plan, as you truly don't seem to care for me.
When will I realize that you're nothing but pain?
Will it take me until all of my emotions are slain?

Both sexes unfortunately deal with the same scenario, I myself have gone through this several times. It's never fun, but at least we start to learn even if they're tiny scales added on with miles of time ahead of them until our armors complete. Thanks for this brief reminder of that light.

So much pain. I'm so sorry that you've been put through this. No one deserves it. I've been on both sides of this coin, and where I sit now, both hurt so much. Thanks for sharing. Bless!

I wrote this while still totally raw and vulnerable from the whole situation. I'm glad that I was able to convey my emotions through my writing.
