Ode To An Old Soul..........

By Facelesskid

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hole in his hypnotic hasteful heart,
there stays a worm that tickles him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every beat buried beneath sandstorms of time,
crumbled like dried rose his rotten prose,
hidden between pages to unravel
the fragrance of sweet sorrow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your tongues can't taste it unless its burnt,
emotions so wasted like a squeezed lemon, no juice left.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strings so stressed, this broken guitar waits to be strumed again,
eyes anaesthetize sheading leaves from the procupine tree
bear the burden of snow like a winter bark of blackwater park
there  he rises before the ashes fade away with his last breath
desolate mumbling that enchants fools decaying in dust.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Soon after the chase there he lays like a stone, an Audioslave,
a forgotten hero ; an Audioslave on you grave.....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
