...Cruel Whispers

By SolApathy

I am the poison of poetic prose
Your thoughts of happiness I expose
In repose I dream of thoughts, dire
In the light of a dark whispering dream
Your once private thoughts a blistering beam
I scorch your memories by any means
I am the apocalypse of all
I am the drug that took you to the endless fall
Injecting you with the hope of escape
You scream as you realize your fate
Losing everything you never knew you had
Falling endlessly in decay
Little pieces of you
Falling away
I am the whisper of a once rational mind
Tainted by the sorrow of a world, unkind
Screams drown out any desire of putting away this rope
Hanging upon this beam I found my last remnant of hope
I kicked out the chair and forever will…Float

Darkly woven in classic SolApathetic style. You definitely have a knack for putting the invisible, internal human struggles into a tangible form. Scholar

What a way to paint an escape. I could feel each line building up, and could feel the intensity and madness. Well played.
