Falling in love --Desire of a morning to explore
Your eyes I adore as an untouched island shore
Dreaming of moments expressed
My heart never rests
My mind a fog of all the good times
If only crisp-camera memories wouldn’t fade
Emotions drive when the mind can’t revive
Love craves a memory that can’t be remade
Thoughts of the moments we once had
Images fade and I feel the world—sad
Burdened by screams of all those with lost dreams
My scythe—A manifestation of internalized regret
Reminds me of the love I forget
Dripping blood from wounds far too deep to reach
I laugh as I hear a pastor preach
Beyond saving and he hasn’t a clue
The darkness of my loss has run me through

Nice word flow. Deep and to the point. I liked the symbolism and imagery. This took some thinking to write.
