Corrupted

By Glass eyes

I thought he was sent from the heavens,
like an angel made by god.
To bad I couldn’t see it there,
right at the very start.

The sweet whispers of nothing that made my cheeks go red,
the warmth of he’s breath on my bare skin.
As we lay down on my bed,
the way he caressed my body I didn’t care it was a sin.

The way he filled me with he’s warmth,
and corrupted me from within.
In that moment when he left,
as I lay there naked trying to process.

I feel the tears start to fall,
as I realize I was just another pawn.
The sadness consumed me right to the end,
with a blade in one hand I tried to forget.

But the pain was the tie breaker,
i just couldn’t cope.
As the cuts got a lot deeper,
I realize I had broke.

Great work. I enjoyed the wordplay and they half-rhymes. Some good stuff. I hope you continue writing.

To realize that you've been used is some serious pain. But if it lightens your burden any just read multiple poets here on DP. Each day it will get a little better. Unless you see the bastard then just kick him in the balls
