The Baphomet and the Seraphim

By Smiles

The bleeding heart on your sleeve makes me salivate.

Can't you see these horns?

Evisceration is their purpose
Shredding all who stand before me
Those that live
Kneel

But you

You dance among the corpses
Naive and oblivious
Speaking of the light at the end of the tunnel

Can't you see these black wings?

I cover the sun
Darkening the sky when I rise
Blocking the warmth on your skin

But you just want to play in the rain that follows.

Can't you see these hoofs?

The Earth quakes and splits beneath them
Ash covers everything you see
Until only desolation and death remain

Can't you see that I will ruin you?

You simply stare and smile
Looking past this demon

Can't you see that I will save you?

This is absolutely fucking brilliant! Gonna save this to favourites. Dark and painfully delicious. Excellent ink.

You know when things just start flowing and everything lines up perfectly? That's how it felt writing this. I'm glad you enjoyed Luna. Thank you.

Loved the dead stop duality of the closing Smiles. One man's preference is another's poison perhaps. Cheers! - Dan
