And the Wheels Spin

By DeificLightning

The wheels keep spinning round and round,
Can’t seem to stop them now.
Whirling so fast, it’s all a dizzying blur
Yet the cogs and wheels continue to turn.
Inside the mind the world moves fast,
Racing out of control,
Yet the world moves in slow motion.
Or inside the mind the world moves slow,
Struggling to catch up.
Chaotic thoughts glide betwixt gears,
Stuttering up the works.
If only there were an escape
From the machine I call my brain.

A machine as a brain; I often think about it that way myself. Very hypnotic.

Thank you. I’m rather fond of technology so likening the human mind to a machine was an analogy I’ve used ever since I can remember. I’m glad you liked it.

Quite a few people in this world find it strange when others tell them they are physically exhausted by emotions when it’s a rather horrible and common thing. I’m glad my ink was relatable. Thanks!
