Mistitled

By Smiles

I loved that look in your eyes

Hell fire and star dust
Swirling around in irises
Not meant for a mortals gaze

Yet

There I was
Lost in the space
Between blinks
Falling in love
Without knowing

Just how broken
It was

Hypnotic words
Caressed my ears
While you pressed
Closer
Against my chest

Your lips glistened
Eager yet hesitant

Without knowing
Just how broken
You felt
I leaned in

And you were gone
Only ash remained

It hurt
Like nothing I've felt before
It still hurts

I miss you

I love you

Goodbye

Good write ! Live comes from the soul, and with both, give thy love to each others soul..for without this we are but flesh in the winds of no direction.... Again, good write. And best wishes !

Something to be said for those first impressions that remain undiluted or tested by time Smiles. A memorable and poignant vignette you should be very proud of. Cheers! - Dan
