Soft Green Grass
By midnights voice
Like the soft green grass
in the morning dew
I'm thinking of you
Tides and change
happens to everyone
that you ever knew
I can't remember
the when's and why's
we were devided into
Ah , the night time stars
yet they are so far
and we cut their beams
We had our plans
and the world was ours
in our dreams
Cassidy
You drove your car
with the top pulled down
and the music on
I asked you where
you said "I don't care
as long as we are moving on"
Oh the night time wails
and the days that
we spent in jail
The women we met
The broken drum set
Times we said we're going to Hell
Oh Cassidy
You met your match
on the railroad track
trying to escape the pain
The hand was hot
but the deck was stacked
So you cashed out of the game
The whiskey was warm
but the night was cold
and your clothes were thin
You went to sleep
and left the pain behind
never to wake again
Oh Cassidy
Like the soft green grass
in the morning dew
I'm thinking bout you
Cassidy

"Me and Bobby McGee" keeps running thru my head MV. My own repertoire of assignations were far less tragic, but no less vivid. Cheers my friend for taking me to another time and place gone, but never forgotten. Dan

We agree with everyone this is designed to make a reader reminisce. We mean regardless of the individual, this will remind. We like.

It's funny, reading these words took me back to a place I thought I forgot. Thank you for the stroll down memory lane...no matter how it feels.
