...Fatalities of the Mind

By SolApathy

Fatalities of inner dimensions
I am the quest for insanity’s prisms
Psychosis bleeds upon my very soul
Covered in lies oversold
Burning the question within my dire dreams
Who is it in my nightmares that screams?
Faith abandoned me with questions unanswered
Seeping wounds of my musical cancer
I look to the reality in which I play
Those around unaware of my inner decay
Smiles wicked as they are the true lie
Projecting falsities upon the untrained eyes
I burn with the fierceness of cerise skies
Blanketed in smoke I see the world choke
Twisted renderings of happiness not truly known
I spit out the venom of our corrupted home
I no longer know what I really am
For what do I really stand?
I am the bedlam
I am the sin
Tell me your confessions as you burn from within
I drift upon these verses-- a dire being
I am the universe without meaning

A dehumanizing existence binds us all to the wheel of life; what we thought we knew was lies - while lies become the disguise of the wise. Indeed, it mystifies, my friend Sol - cheers! - Dan
