...Poetic Chaos (World Poetry Day)

By SolApathy

Faded verses -Terse with meaning
So close to real that they steal
Air from our breath
as we read of poetic death
No sun today- As the words they play
Serenades of unkempt emotion
Feel the depth of this crushing ocean
Vision blurring as these lines you whisper
Feelings tangible-  Crisper
Delve deep into the crux of my chaos
Stanzas of a protagonist bludgeoned
I greet you within my dungeon
Words bleed upon the walls
Yet I never fall
Honored to ooze this curse of words-I use
I choose
--Fate--
Contrasting the world above in which I would suffocate
Dreams of darkness to me aren’t dire
They …Inspire

10 minute poetic catastrophe

Sounding here like a creature from the benthos, my friend Sol. Isn't it marvelous where the rhymes can take the nimble mind? Cheers! - Dan

Faded verses , reminds me of the poet ,"Faded Blues" fondly remembered on such a historic day . I envision the word "steel" instead of "steal" . For cold as steel always took my breath away . Crushing oceans are deep and dark and very mysterious , full of unknown creatures worse than any nightmare . Comes complete with "Weather Report" , their CD/song "Heavy Weather" . Oh I guess for the simple minded we can all just "Paint It Black"

Better to be inspired, than by the darkness be mired... a creative dirge for this day! Scholar
