...Bitter Roots

By SolApathy

Silence is the emptiness that fills me
My wicked well of depression-hell
Deeper than the roots of that last bitter embrace
Hallowed as the hurt of an artic chilled breath
 upon a bared emotion-cast face
Now forever frozen in place
Stark reminders of whence we once felt
Flutters of satin and melted butter moments
…Lost…
Even the hollowness-- my once bitter maiden
Abandoned me in fear seeing I am forsaken
My soul is a cup, dry
Lost to the ravages of not-enough time

The majesty of silence is that it is unheard . And that of a hollow soul is that it waits patiently to be filled .

Sounding like that one word was a doozy Sol; could have been a simple "no" or perhaps something more sinister and soul-killing than even the gulf of years...Cheers Sol! - Dan
