By dwells

Their minds deny the simple truths
Their speech devoid of reason
Their words are knives to disembowel
And frolic in the lesion

Unprincipled in their decay
Emotions are their master
They think themselves superior
Excusing each disaster

Their calling, once a noble one
To safely guard the masses
But shepherds led their flocks astray
To forage bitter grasses

Providing for beleaguered lives;
Too poor to pay attention
While cattle barons build a fence
And plan for our detention

Unknowing that we are the prey
With udders full and dripping
We never saw the hidden hand
The cattle prod was gripping

Forbidden now to ruminate
They brandish sharpened cleavers
Our sins too great to expiate
We are the low achievers

So on the hoof, or by the pound
The milk of human kindness
Becomes the cheese on bended knees
And in the dairy, bind us*

brother so many are unaware of agenda 2021 / 2030 it pains me to think about it. as you know some can't fathom our leaders willingly leading us to our demise. thats why i'm so glad you wrote this bravo dwells. and by the way your choice of words and crispness of structure is always a treat. peace my brother - m0

The rhythm of this leads itself to the words. The way you use metaphors and weave truth into your writes is beyond me. " Unknowing that we are the prey With udders full and dripping We never saw the hidden hand The cattle prod was gripping" All of that is just....so good.

Barren from thoughts are the motives behind the helping hand...All too often that hand pulling us up from the ground is the one leading us to the slaughterhouse of broken dreams. An eloquent write, a shining reflection of your dark mastery.
