My Electronic Voice Phenomenon Backfire

By Brian Edwards

My electronic voice phenomenon backfire
An unleashing of voices
Through water
Through air
Through wind
Cacophonies of tricksters
Audio venoms
Poisonous infiltrations
Of mind and the fabric of reality

An unravelling
Science twisted into mystical illusion

Symmetries crossed and exploded
In the dead of night
More dive bombing audio
What is real?
What is not real?

The mirrors melt and expand
Is it all a reflection?

Audio pins and needles
Audio switch blades
Audio Luftwaffes
Audio Minute Man missiles
Audio North Korean rockets
Audio SCUD missiles
Audio killer drones
Audio Egyptian war-chariot javelins
Audio solar eclipse
Audio Hindenburg crash
Audio flying wing
Audio Roswell
Audio Area 51
Audio rain of frogs
Audio Krakatoa eruption…….1883
Audio 1561 celestial event over Nuremberg
Audio Mount St. Helens
Audio solar flares
Audio Aurora Borealis
Audio razor wire
Audio biplane dogfight
Audio Red Baron
Audio Tunguska Event

Audio silencers becoming unsilent

Audio equipment offered to the portal’s name

Banishment……exile
From life as it always was

I’ve been incorporated into a phenomenon
Of electricity and Medieval sound

Bound to the call of the fallen echo

Walking the night and the day
As a mortal receiver
Of nihilism’s testament

This paints an image out of audio waves and white noise. It's lovely visualizing the list on top of everything preceding and everything afterward.

I wasn't sure I liked the "audio" list in the middle but on second thought, I do really like it.
