Bare Bulbs and the Biopsy Inbetween

By Abberant

My bare-buckling feet
Yearn you -still
As they walk
On through these
Broken bulb ideas.

Each month we're
Weakened; watered
Down biopsy drinks

I jest, falsely.

With mangled love,
Too afraid for happy-

But to cold for anything else.

I love this a lot, but one thing about it is bothering me: in the line, "I jest, fakely." I feel like fakely is such an undeveloped word... maybe look into something a little more on par with the rest of this work. Just my two cents, of course.
