...Testament of the unspoken

By SolApathy

Broken is the man of withering dreams
Performing deeds worthy of her soul
Yet always feels he can never be worthy
A cataclysmic journey
 trapped within his ambivalence
Unable to fight his own resistance
He smiles her way
Unable to ever portray
The love he wishes to send her way
Cracks in the ice never broken
A testament to the words never spoken
Dreams he keeps only within his mind
His desire a silent fire as the cracks they expand
Ice cold reality seeping through the void between
Snaps him out of this tormented dream
If only his lips could convey
What his eyes try so desperately to say
A testament to the words never spoken
Have left this man -- broken

I think this is one of my personal favorites of yours. The emotion in this... One could drown in it. You convey pain in a beautiful way.

This is sweet and wrought with unrequited longing and beauty. Excellent write, you always bring such life to the pen (or the keyboard, pen sounded prettier) and I'm grateful to read it.

Sol, great write! this begs the unanswered question, "what if?"... I've always felt it is better to ask and know for sure, instead of living in the *what might be*... 10/10... ~worm~
