the floor

By Johny_D_Lewis

cutting....ripping my flesh
watching the blood hit the floor
out of thought...out of mind
skinning myself slowing

wanting to be made again
freeing me...with the drops of blood
different from what i am
ripping...breaking this shell open

pulling...cutting off my hair
peices at a time
opening...freeing my blood
letting it drip to the floor

using knives...slicing
my hair falling from me
my claws grabbing...ripping
my skin hitting the floor

free me...free me from this cell
pull the flesh from the bones
help me get out...get away from me
free me to the floor...

Transformation is never easy. I dig the changing tempo, quite appropriate. b.

what i like about this is... it doesn't feel like the normal self mutilation poem. it's being trapped in a body that doesn't feel like yours... a feeling of displacement. not a death desire, but a need to be where you belong.

wow.. A bit morbid, yet fascinating. Shedding skin doesn't quite change the emotions on the inside, but it does provide a sick form of release. Nice write.
