Life Goal Irony

By SirEnders

Eyes open at the sense of light
Hungover as all Hell, I need a sprite.
I drink, and more, so I do not feel
My dreams feel all too real.
There are days I am me
But not many get to see.
Most see me stumbling about
Talking a lot and blacking out.
Some day, I won't feel groggy
Some day, my mind won't be foggy.
One day, Death will heal me
In His Hallowed Soul Sea.
Where I'll finally be able to smile
Maybe see Her, its been a long while.
But until then, I just want to be numb
I don't want to feel, I'm just scum.
I am worthless and outspoken
Death's princes crown, broken.
Awaiting for my damn time
Everyday, commit a new crime.
Eventually, I'll finally cave in
And see all the light go dim.
One day, I'll lose my soul
Death is my only life goal.

I feel like I'm on a "title to poem" kick this morning, but the title really does spell it out... this is dark and palpable... Be Well! ~worm~

This reminded me of a time I've tried to forget. I like the subtle rhyming, it adds to the feel of this. Write on.
