...Plumes

By SolApathy

Into my disease of crumbling pleas
Watching the sun drift to darkness, beyond a rolling sea
I burned the universe’s flame at both ends

Knowing nothing of where I will be, soon
I contemplate the moments as the seconds echo by
Certain in silence, broken that I shouldn’t bother to try
Second hand breaking the silence as infinity drags on
Echo of a moment as I recall the verse of a once loved song
I wither in the turmoil

I am also jealous of the line about burning the Universe's flame at both ends as it feels like the ultimate kiss off. I do not understand why this hasn't received any comments, but then not everyone can recognize greatness. Beautifully written, dearest. Rebs:).
