…Porcelain Recollections

By SolApathy

You broke my tears
shattered crystalline fears
Porcelain thoughts as my vomit rots
Upon this throne-- too many nights I call home
I excise demons of spirit pleasures
100 proof carnal measures
Body broken as the liquid gnaws my soul
Take another drink hoping to lose control
Can’t mend the fences, torn
Forlorn I know no days beyond dread
I take this gun, wrote this note, and blew off
…My head

At first I thought this had something to do with a porcelain doll, but then I got floored with this stark write that really illustrates the true nature of the bad that comes with consuming too much alcohol. The upside is the carnal measures, of course. Short, but packing such an intense punch. All I can say is great write, dearest. Rebs:).

100 proof carnal measures. The flow and the words are beautiful. Imagery was on point and magic :)
