Taylor on Probabtion

By Jonas

taylor made a declaration
the gratitude in me
bows to the humanity
in you
then he left
because he couldn't stay
we are the subjects of what we
do
so intentions
are a tenuous wish
just like sunlight and
air
are no place for living
fish
i think i dreamed you
once long ago
but i don't remember
so now
who knows?

you are an impression
of what i think maybe could have been
but now that it's happened
it's become
nothing but what it is

the light is the darkness
and the darkeness light
it's only contrast for those
alive with sight
is silence darkness for those born blind?
now and forever are things for those
with time
time to ponder
time to think
now becomes never
in the space of a
blink

i will be forgotten
and forgotten will be you
of mice
and of men
these things seem true
she is the princess
princess of all the earth
there's never been anything better
never been anything worse

we build a building
to scratch the sky
we build a truth
to scratch the lie
I'm always lusting
till passion's spent
a drink of water
imagined heaven sent
the rain now and then
wets the dirt
the words of parting don't have to hurt

oh but i know they will

oh but i know
they
will

There are so many quotable lines in this piece, but I think my favorite is, "i think i dreamed you once long ago but i don't remember." Great piece! Ciao, Steve Scholar
