A Drought Road

By A Dispelled Truth

Try to mine the blessings from life's stress.

To find rest, remind yourself
we can't define divine tests.
Refine what fear wears then
wear a dress that shines best.

To find rest, rest tears.
From best years that rest here.
To dead peers, disappeared.
In this home, without those
on this dreary dreamy drought road.

This dreary dreamy drought road
clearly fraught with snout nose,
stout men shouting back their hellhounds
bound to hound them.
Shackled wolves that howl slow,
sounds that shadows outgrow.

Out slow, missing seasons.
Shifting reasons, when to spring?
Some will fall when Winter Springs,
For most are far from Summer's fall.
Summer falls from Winter's spring.
So Angel's fall with splintered wings.

Splinter's sting from circles, rings.
Virgil leads the way.
A role model, this poetic Poe
with brittle bones my soul follows.
What little stones I've cast away.
The riddles of a castaway.

An outcast accosted too exhausted
crossing frosted plains
upon the stains of haunted conscience
calling my forgotten name.

"Begone" I say, "Begotten shame,
this fear I wrought to sow in awful ways
will not control the tolls I often pay
to walk this road."

I'm lost in pain.

Yet the blessing's rest in life's stress.
To find rest, remind yourself
we can't define divine tests.
As mind's mend, you'll find then.
