After All These Years

After All These Years

Yellow sunshine sad

almost glad

almost . . .

I . . .

can feel you touching me

after all these years

I wonder how you are feeling now

I wonder where you are

Behind which star . . .

are you hiding

Are we playing hide and seek ?

Twenty-five years ago

. . . gone . . .
. . . . . . goodbye . . .

Like a knife to my heart

But I bleed not any more

long ago I . . .

I lost the last drop . . .

such a long time ago

Great write. I truly felt a pain in the words as I lost a baby too. She never leaves my thoughts even as many say forgive, forget... move on, yet I cannot forget her birth day nor her yearly birthday, wondering who or what she might be today. She would be 30 now. Thanks for sharing ~ Toxic Love ~

It is in the rhythm of this that is moving. The words have a slow rolling, almost hazed affect to them. Like trying to wake up from a bomb that had gone off near my head. Very moving.

I had a younger brother who died when he was two years old, and from what I was told, a bit of my father died with him. I couldn't help it but to shed a few tears for you. This is sad but so beautifully written. Rebs:).
