I’ve written of darkness beyond the confines
Of societies lines
Yet I have not found
The depth of the emptiness for which I am bound
Broken into particles
—more than the universe could hold
I unfold my petals of this disease
Corrupting the beauty of what once was to be
Symmetry of the universe demands
Somewhere there be
A light to challenge the darkness infecting
