poem 4967...

By worm

innocence born

the all-encapsulating wonder
of the full brilliance of life
is on display in this theater
we like to call "living"

but as we age
as we grow into
this skin that surrounds
our pathetic thoughts
about what is true
and what is real
and what is truly innocent

we soon find
that we are descending
into the realization
that what we think
what we do
and where we strive for perfection
is in reality
no more than the mere flushing
of our thoughts

and as we sit on our Throne of Decay
we look blindly around
wondering just where God
put the toilet paper...

Hallelujah!

I don't like how he hides stuff either, none more so frustrating than the toilet paper... I mean, your pretty much at his mercy in such situations. Wonderful pen.
