...Shards

By SolApathy

I am the devils rain, calming yet full of pain
Shards of glass; needle thin
Delving deep within
Piercing memories you try not to feel
I become the sore that can never heal
Welling up blood
Tonight shall be another flood
Tears in silence
Scream louder than a universe in burning chaos
Sinking deeper within your own loss
Savage thoughts; your mind tortures you---Unkind
Bound to a past that won’t set you free
Teased with pills that will silence the voice
Do you really have to think of this choice?
Lurking under your bed
9 millimeter whispers to touch your soul
All this chaos, no serenity to be found
My thoughts of you--
6 feet underground
Battle bound and worn of the fight
She pulled the trigger and turned out
...All the lights…

Ok. Now, there is this feeling of melancholy that seems to make its way in this corner of my memories after reading this. This feels pale and cold, but your words have away of also comforting those parts of me.

This is hands down one of my absolute favorites from you. There are so many lines, and it hits so many places. I need to come back and comment properly on this.
