Into the intimacy of my tortured soul
Bringing you within the only feelings I know
Deep in the silence of one smothered in violence
Pain was my first kiss
My sweet mistress
Under these long sleeves
Scars of x-acto memories
Deep within- Sure you still want in?
Can you stand to look beyond?
Emotional wounds I wear as trophies on my arms
High upon my thighs, deeper the cut
The more I feel…Alive
You can’t grasp what could transform me
To perform these acts of violence upon my skin
Don’t you understand?
I can’t stand to store these thoughts

Poems like this make me believe this world can't be a simulation or a figment of my imagination, there's no way I could come up with something like this. Beautiful piece as usual

Release is always needed, for many reasons and some ways are scarier than others.

This hit home because I know people that have suffered through this. Beyond the emotional weight this carried you were very clever with a lot of your word choices. I always say it, but it's true...so good.
