...Burning

By SolApathy

I tried, I swear
Not so well did I fare
In a world of color, I only see shadow
For you though I tried to look past my dark pinnings
With you a new beginning
Feeling a love I could barely grasp
I was there for you and I saw you through
…Darkness you only thought you knew
Now in the grave I look upon your soul
…As I return to the only thing I truly know
Vengeance burns brilliant - brighter than the shimmering sun
I will spare my darkness for no one
They put you here, filled with fear
I shall return in kind the terror of my burning mind
Praying they would be dying, if only 1,000 times
…Would only be so kind
My darkness extends far beyond my ebon core
In a place where there is no turning back
Broken screams and visions of sinister things
Hell holds no candle…
The imploding fury of misery I have cultured for you
Fearing & bleeding-  Now you are seeing
She kept my smile so frail as a piece of shale
A veil of lucidity you pierced unintentionally
Look to the horrors you have seen on screen
Terrors of actors playing victims of a devil, unseen
Now look to my eyes; I am not disguised
The evil I bring to bear I gladly, share
I bring my rage to bare
Uncaged I flare hotter than a super-nova burns
For I whisper in your ear
“for today is just of many tears”
I take the metaphorical blade
it’s shimmering silver sadism
Slices deep into you primal
…Fear
You scream as you realize your end is nowhere
…Near

Painful and cloaked in darkness. I love the feel of this. I could hear them as lyrics. So good.
