...Serenading the cougar

By SolApathy

Accidents happen
Or so they say
Killed me a cougar today
Ran her down in the rain
And how am I to blame?
A simple serenade of divine intervention
Serendipitous in my conviction; she had no suspicion
My headlight a brilliant glow as I let her body know
The rubber doesn’t always meet the road
As Kya runs over a hoe!
Strapping onto the car
Take this cougar to our domain
Into the woods, we roam
The poets of DP, right at home!
Brilliant is the bonfire we light with heavenly desire
Smoking of the bones we use to play
A dire beat of death
Her meat prepared to perfection; we dine
Into the forest with wine, laugh, and play
And who is to say
Anyone died
