Selfless...Desire (Dark)

By SolApathy

I’m a widow of my own soul
Never thought I’d be here
Thought you would always be near
Fate had other desires
setting fires
Couldn’t protect you from my self-destruction
Corruption of my soul
In ways you couldn’t understand - - or know
Only one way I can go
Hung myself today
End this insanity
Won't let it take you with me

Protecting you from the mistakes’ I Know I’ll make
I can’t let you share
...My fate

Not sure you'd be doing anybody any favors there SA. Seems like dropping out just brings a whole new set of consequences. We are being tested, I think, maybe, perhaps...Cheers!- Dan

The philosophy of suicide...has been debated since antiquity. This is a first person foray into the reasoning, dark but interesting none-the-less. Scholar

Who can say? Your view it would be selfless. Theirs it would be selfish. Very dark but nice write
