...Broken

By SolApathy

You betrayed our trust and love
Broke the promise you made
Above
Sit in your cage
Still we suffer your rage
Our son has come undone
Cuddle him deep; knowing
Nightmares as he sleeps
Trying so hard to find
Some way to mend his mind
Heart and soul
But I can’t find the piece to fill his
Hole
Deep it bleeds
Sometimes I think he blames me
Not knowing the complexity of life
Can’t show him my strife
Crying in the closet to hide my voice
I have no choice
Must be strong; try to pull him along
Back to the happiness he once knew
Before you broke us
..In two

A very relatable and all to common tale SA. Once broken trust is never fixed. a painfully honest write, and the children are indeed in the middle of things. Try not to pick sides if you can. Cheers! - Dan
