Bandolero ( a tribute to Phill Lynott / Thin Lizzy )

By molock

he shot a man in Mexico,

now he's on the run.

for him there's no

tomorrow,

guilty as his smokin'

gun.

he's won every battle,

only to lose the war.

there goes the

bandolero,

always knockin' on

the Devils door.

so he rides west,

across desert sand.

there is no lookin'

back,

the devil has him in

his hands.

today the hang man

is hangin',

just one more kiss

before he goes.

cause death is no

companion,

...out in the gallows.

he's one every battle,

only to lose the war.

there goes the

bandolero,

always knockin' on

the Devils door.

I recall the band's name Mo, and am quite certain I could recollect a song or two, if the music played. Now go set this one to music and I'll see you on MTV maybe (or is it VH-1 or You Tube now:) - cheers amigo - Dan

thank you so much for the kind words. Thin Lizzy is very near and dear to my heart. Phill Lynott was one of the best lyric writers ever, also one of the most tragic losses ever. it's good to know that there are some Thin Lizzy fans still out there. cheers - mo
