Poem #11

By carlosjackal

Wet winter leaves
and the art of survival.
Poem #11 wrapped up in Rachel tape.

Stay away from the subject of broken hearts
and torn sails
and the reality that the tide prevails.

Breathe and don't let shitbrain
take over your thoughts.

Shattered ego snarling onslaughts.

The times are calling me again
after sweet moments with you away.

It used to be
my insanity came with a youthful energy.
Now I'm more measured
but mad as ever.

Like losing the diamond from a wedding ring.
Weird interiors of a stinging heart.
A language where we do not speak.
Volumes expressed in gestures and looks.

Handwritten graffiti poetry
as I look through the window of a door
and with just a glance,
her face through glass
hits me like a brick.

Oh, yes.

The times are calling me again
after sweet moments with you away.

Wet winter leaves
and the art of survival.
Poem #11 wrapped up in Rachel tape.

Amazing imagery. Stanzas 2 and 6 kill me, they're so good.

You've stolen my heart in a single breath. The energy radiating from your intoxicating tone, the vivid imagery -left dancing, long after I reposition my thoughts. Fuck... I'm in love❤ ............pulls a supernova from the sky. Scholar

This floored me. And the imagery. Beautifully damaging.
