No one needs to know

By Angelic Darkness

Burn my body, break my bones, spread the ashes.

No one needs to know.
No one needs to know.

Poisoned sweet nothing whispered in the ear what's to fear, when they're all words we most wish to hear?

No one needs to know.
No one needs to know.

In the end we hurt the most, those whose hearts we try to hold so close.

No one needs to know.
No one needs to know.

Every whispered blow, each snide aside.
The pain, invisible, felt only inside.

No one needs to know.
No one needs to know.

I carve the pain into my skin, so to recall every sin.
Self infliction, self sin.
I hope you'll never be where I've been..

Because No one needs to know.

This has a lyrical feel to it - in part of the repetitious verses - which brings this piece to life in such a beautiful & torrid way ... Your description, heartfelt & genuine ... Devlin.

What a dark way of describing love. It is not a wholly positive emotion, but rather a complex and dynamic part of life that can make life worth living or just utterly suck, to be a bit frank. You did a good job of conveying that. The last four lines specifically express the negativity of the situation. It comes a little out of left field and leaves the reader feeling unsettled. I like it! Great job.
