I walk with the purest black

By silentninja

Again my canvas remains blank
My dark passenger has left me
I no longer feel pain
I only have an excuse for a life

I wake within darkness
Surrounded by the purest black
And I start to think of the lies, the deceit it hides
Peaceful, suttle, decay

I still walk within darkness
Cold and alone
Within flickers of light, I can see
I see such beautiful people
Dancing, smiling, looking;
straight through me

I fall in love with their darkness
I see their darkness waiting behind their eyes
So hungry for them to see my mine
Words are ushered upon theirs lips
leave me falling for them
Forever

Daytime then arrives
And so my heart again breaks
As I walk my dark path alone
A ghost of who I once was.
