A drop at a time
By beamish
I see my life a drop at a time
Some words
A song
A brilliant flash of light
Yes there are days when the bucket overflows
The tears bubble with God's rejuvenating waters
Sadness for the moment steals the sun from my eyes
But with time the rainbows of my mind shine
The pot of gold glows just waiting to be spent
The tears clear and a meteor shower of brilliance follows
In these moments of grandeur I'm like a child in the snow
I close my eyes and open my mouth wide
Catching the sparks of heaven on my tongue
Letting them burn deep into the pleasure sensors of my mind
Sizzling time and life itself
A drop at a time
Life should never be more
So close your eyes and let your windows blow open
A storm is brewing just beyond your set limits
A drop at a time
A word
A song
An entire lifetime

``an entire lifetime`` is what truly summons up this poem! ... Great work!

Yes it does sum it all up. Now if I can just obey my own words and live it. Thank you as always

this reminds me of the song Time by Pink Floyd...I really like this poem a lot, catching heaven's sparks on my tongue, letting them burn deep...really strong work here!

If only I could write like Roger Waters. Thank you for the comments.
