Wrapped in velvet emptiness
Sweet caress

Been the best friend I ever had
Never leaving when all has gone
The warmth of the empty
So strong
Glowing and caring
Never staring
Never judging my self-destruction
Corruption
Depth of despair
My last gasp for air…
You tell me I should care
But you can’t tell me why
Say I shouldn’t want to die
But can’t give me a reason to fight
Here you are
Holier-than-thou
Preaching of my sins to be
Tell me I’m going to hell because I don’t
Believe
You can’t conceive
My hell is here
My only escape
To no longer
…Be
