Layered

I’m a well-clothed soul
Neither nakedness nor nearness to that state you'll find
Wrapped in careful layers of sarcasm and cynicism
Doused by hypocrisy and numbness of the mind
Smothered in sadness with enigmatic exterior
Encased with worries and blanketed in bitterness
One final jaded jacket zippered to the chin
Soles of shoes slapping echoing empty sentiments
